ABOUT US

Information Science

Started in 1999, the Department of Information Science & Engineering offers students a graduate program with an intake of 60. The department has well-qualified and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff and well-equipped laboratories to fulfill the academic needs of the students. The B.E (ISE.) program is applied for re-accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation[NBA] . The department conducts special courses on advanced topics, to bridge the gap between the university curriculum and the need of the industry. The department has been granted autonomy by VTU since 2007. The dept. is offering M.Tech., (Computer Network Engineering) from Academic Year 2012.

PEO of ISE

  • Graduates must gain both theoretical and practical knowledge to identify, formulate & solve challenges in Information Science & Engineering problems.
  • Graduates must work productively as Information Science Engineers, including supportive and leadership roles on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Graduates must communicate effectively, recognize and incorporate societal needs and constraints in their professional endeavors, and practice their profession with high regard to legal and ethical responsibilities.
