Also the Dept. aims at creating top quality successful and sustainable programs and curricula for the students to address the emerging educational challenges and market demands.

Activities
The department of Information Science & Engineering encourages students to participate in curricular and co-curricular activities. Versatile Information Science Technical Aspirants(VISTA) is a student association through which students can interact with industries and institutions. Seminars and guest lectures from eminent personalities on topics of cutting edge technology have been organised through VISTA. Students are encouraged to publish research papers in journals and present the same at conferences. The department has won several prizes in project exhibitions held at the State as well as National level.
Projects
The department also trains students in software development skills by assigning various projects on emerging technologies to meet the industry requirements in the pre-final and final year courses.
